Stock Replenishment

Learn how to set up replenishment levels for your stock so you can get a high level overview on what needs to be purchased.

Stock Replenishment Types

Inventory Replenishment

This type of replenishment will help give you a visual overview of your stock as well as to provide a quantity that should be purchased when making a purchase order. Inventory replenishment takes into consideration the following factors when providing a quantity forecast:
  • Min/max par values for inventory items

  • Committed stock

  • Expected stock through POs or transfers

  • Sales volume for the item

  • Lead time from the vendor

To utilize inventory replenishment within your SKUSavvy account you can go into a warehouse > inventory > stock replenishment. If you have not set par values for any inventory items this table will look empty so in this guide you will learn how to fill it up!
If stock is in a backordered state or sales velocity indicates you will run out, SKUSavvy will make suggestions automatically without needing to turn on stock replenishment par values
Bin to Bin Replenishment
Note that stock replenishment is different from bin to bin replenishment. Bin replenishment refers to the process of rebalancing inventory across two or more bins that contain the same item. For instance when you have pallets stored and singles stored of one item and you plan to replenish the pick bin from your pallets.
To turn on bin replenishment for your account head into your company configuration settings and go down to 'Inventory' and turn on bin to bin replenishments.

Automate Purchase Orders

Once you have set up par values for your inventory, SKUSavvy can use these to suggest a quantity during the purchase order creation process. Assuming you already have vendors assigned to variants, when you go to create a purchase, any item with par values set will show a suggested quantity. This can be adjusted or ignored.

Set Up Bin Replenishment

To set up bin replenishment you will need to find the inventory item within a warehouse and click into it. On the bin locations for that inventory item (must have more than one bin with stock) you'll need to set up a minimum quantity for both bin levels then create the bin adjustment.
You must have the same stock item in more than one bin location to create a replenishment rule.
  • 1) Create bin replenishment which pulls up a modal

  • 2) Bin from/to selection (requires two or more current bin locations for the inventory item)

  • 3) Set up a new capacity level on bins +/-
