How to Manage Pickup Orders

Pickup orders require a special type of fulfillment with two parts to alert your customer the pickup is ready, then marking the order as picked up. SKUSavvy can help you better organize this process so orders are timely, accurate, and well managed. This guide will take you through setting up your pickup workflow. 

Create a Pickup Label

By default SKUSavvy already includes a pickup label you can print out. If you want to customize the look of the label you can do so from the template builder.

Fulfill Pickup Order

Go through and pick the order like any other order. You can also package the order up. The final step of the fulfillment is to mark the order as 'Ready for Pickup' which will update the order status and trigger Shopify to send an email to your customer that the order is ready to be picked up. 
  • 1) Pick the order and select a package

  • 2) Pack the order by tapping or scanning items

  • 3) Mark the order ready for pickup which will bring up a label to print and update the order status back to Shopify

Print Pickup Label

Once you click 'Mark As Ready for Pickup' the dialog to print your label will show up so it can be printed. The printed label should contain a barcode which can be scanned by the 'scan anything' button to indicate the order has been picked up.
  • 1) Select your pickup label template

  • 2) Preview the pickup label

  • 3) Mark as ready for pickup and print the label

Note: you can reprint the label by clicking on 'Mark Ready for Pickup' from the fulfillment screen on this order

Handle Order Pickup

Once you have marked the order as ready for pickup and printed the label you should place the label with the order so when your customer walks in your staff can simply scan the pickup label to mark the order as picked up. 

1) Scan the pickup label

Tap the barcode icon that appears in the bottom left on desktop, or in the bottom bar on mobile devices, then scan your pickup label

2) Mark the Order Picked Up

Once you scan the label you can tap 'Mark As Picked Up' to indicate the customer has picked up the order.
