Very Important

There are some things that are critical to understand about the way SKUSavvy works. Please thoroughly read to make sure you get started on the right track.

Pick-Pack in SKUSavvy, Fulfill Through Shopify

Always pick, pack, and ship from within SKUSavvy — not from Shopify directly. When you complete fulfillment in SKUSavvy, it marks the Shopify order fulfilled and pushes tracking automatically. Fulfilling an order in Shopify instead skips SKUSavvy's Bin-level inventory tracking, so the units never get picked from a known location.

Unpick Batches You Won't Complete

Once an item is picked, it is held against that batch and no longer available to pick for another order. If a batch or order is not going to be finished — a cancellation, an edit, or a stalled pick session — unpick the items so the stock returns to its Bin and becomes available again. Leaving picked stock sitting in an abandoned batch makes it look unavailable everywhere else.

Inventory Sync Is One-Way

SKUSavvy is the source of truth for inventory quantities once connected. Stock changes in SKUSavvy push up to Shopify, but an edit made directly to a quantity inside Shopify does not flow back down on its own — the two systems will disagree until you run a manual resync.

Reconciliation Tracks Stock That Left Without a Bin

If an order is fulfilled outside SKUSavvy — in Shopify, POS, or another app — the units leave inventory but SKUSavvy never picked them from a Bin. Rather than silently going negative, SKUSavvy records a reconciliation so you can tell it which Bin the stock actually left, or confirm the loss and remove the record.

POS Orders Auto-Fulfill and Reconcile

Shopify POS orders flow into SKUSavvy already fulfilled, since the sale and hand-off happened in person at the register. SKUSavvy fulfills them from available inventory where it can; any shortfall it can't attribute to a Bin becomes a reconciliation, the same as any other outside fulfillment.
