Fix for 3D Not Displaying

If you are not able to see the 3D visual warehouse display on your browser try these fixes.

Web GL

SKUSavvy utilizes webGL to display several graphics including the 3D warehouse map. Most browsers will already support webGL but if they do not, be sure you have it on the browser you are using.

Safari WebGL Fix

SKUSavvy's powerful 3D warehouse visualization requires WebGL to render directly in your browser. If you're using Safari and cannot see the 3D layout of your warehouse, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Step 1: Enable WebGL in Safari

  1. Open Safari > Settings (or Preferences).
  2. Click the "Advanced" tab.
  3. Check the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar."
  4. Go to the top bar and click Develop.
  5. Under "Experimental Features," make sure:
    • WebGL is enabled.
    • WebGL 2.0 is enabled, if available.
    • Disable WebGL is unchecked.

Step 2: Clear Safari Cache

  1. Click Safari > Clear History…
  2. Select "all history" and confirm.
  3. Quit and reopen Safari.

Step 3: Disable Extensions or Content Blockers

Sometimes browser extensions or privacy tools can interfere with WebGL:

  • Disable any content blockers.
  • Disable any browser extensions and reload the SKUSavvy page.

Step 4: Test Another Browser

To determine if this is a Safari-specific issue:

  • Open SKUSavvy in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
  • If the 3D view works there, it confirms the issue lies with Safari settings.

Step 5: Update Safari and macOS

Ensure you're running the latest version:

  1. Go to System Preferences > Software Update.
  2. Apply any available Safari or macOS updates.
